A very common question we hear is why we should host a Jump Rope or Hoop for Heart in our schools. Is there more to it than just the fundraising aspect of it? The answer is absolutely yes. While we as PE teachers regularly see the envelopes, the ducks-this year its the Zoo Crew, we often don’t see the result of those envelopes. If you are trying to convince your administrator the importance of this program, here is some critical information to share on how our efforts affect our community.
For more information on what the American Heart Association has to offer us as educators, please take a look at their Education page.
As our school year is rapidly approaching, we hope that you will take this opportunity to plan a Jump Rope or Hoop for Heart event at your school. As you can see from the American Heart Association’s mission in North Dakota, they are making huge strides in supporting our communities. If there was ever an organization that we see results from, this is definitely a great example.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we will either put you in touch with Mary Reiser, our AHA rep, or a teacher with Jump Rope or Hoop for Heart experience to get you started!
