Teasha Jackson

Minot State University
| Teasha Jackson was born and raised in Jamaica. She received her training in PreK-12 physical education and sport from the International School of Physical Education and Sports, Cuba, Delta State University, MS and currently completing a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, VA. She has taught physical education PreK-12 and coached various sports including tennis, soccer, netball and track & field. Late 2016 Teasha moved to Minot where she began teaching in the PETE program at MSU. She has served on the SHAPE America Physical Education Council since 2016 and has been a JOPERD reviewer since 2015. As a member of the National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE) Teasha has also served on the Social Justice Taskforce. She has a keen interest in adapted physical education and the empowerment of all children through physical education. Teasha has a great interest in exploring the grand outdoors of North Dakota and the Midwest, with a little geocaching on the side.

| I graduated from the University of Mary in 2016 with a Bachelors in Physical Education and Athletic Training. While in college I served as a student representative on the NDSHAPE Board. I have taught at Simle Middle School for one year. I have attended the NDSHAPE conference for the last 3 years, and i look forward to attending my first Central District Conference this year.

Dickinson State University | I have taught in the physical education and education department at DSU since 1990. I did my undergrad at UW-LaCrosse and my grad work at UW-Whitewater and Eastern Kentucky University. I am a former NDAHPERD board member from the 1990's and served as state president in 1996. I also served as National President of the NAIA Volleyball Coaches Association in the late 1990's. I was honored to be inducted into the NAIA HOF as a former coach in 2010. My wife Kay is an educator for Dickinson Public Schools and my 3 children are all studying at various universities. I ride my bicycle to work nearly every day. |

| I am currently in my 7th year of teaching Physical Education at Finley-Sharon Public School. I am also in my 4th year of teaching Health Education. I have a passion for a life-long fitness curriculum. It is my objective as a teacher to try and find activities that all students will enjoy and could enjoy for their entire life.
I attended VCSU from 2006-2011. I also played volleyball during my college career. Icurrently live in Valley City with my husband, Jamie, son, Carver (11), and daughters, Berkley (4), and Azalea (4 months). We enjoy going to the VCSU Athletic events. I also serve on the VCSU Century Club. |

Perkett Elementary School | I have been teaching Elementary Physical Education for 11 years at Perkett Elementary School in Minot, ND. My wife Alison and I have 2 children, Grayson - 7 and Jerzi - 5
I am currently in my 11th year as an assistant HS Girls Hockey coach and my 8th year as a JV Boys Baseball coach. I attended the NDSHAPE conference this past summer and loved it! I graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education with a minor in coaching. Currently I am in the process of registering for my Masters in Education. Angela Williams

| Hi, my name is Angela Williams and for the past 4 years I have been working at Valley City State University within the Kinesiology and Human Performance Department, as their Pedagogy Specialist. My job description includes teaching HPER courses that introduce KHP students to the health and physical education professions, teach pedagogy, learner instructional development/curriculum, class management, etc. I also teach all of the HPER Methods courses in preparation of the pre-service experience, as well as service as the Health and PE supervisory instructor of all pre-service teachers. Other duties served currently are the VCSU Curriculum committee, Teacher Education committee, and the Teaching and Learning committee.
Prior to VCSU, I taught both health and PE within the Lisbon Public School System, and coached VB for 18 years. I have served as a facilitator for the ND RR Health Conf. in Medora, ND; as well as served on the ND State Health Standards committee in '08.
